Renowned hairstylist Sabit Akkaya met with students at BARU.
The event, organized by the Bartın Health Services Vocational School Hair Care and Beauty Services Program and the Career Planning Application and Research Center, attracted significant interest from attendees from various cities, industry representatives, and enthusiasts.
The program, held in the Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences-Education Conference Hall at the Kutlubey Campus, began with a video presentation detailing Sabit Akkaya's professional journey; in a discussion moderated by Ebru Adalı, he shared his experiences and offered valuable advice to young people.
Furthermore, as part of the 3+1 workplace training program for associate degree students at BARÜ, and with the investment led by Lecturer Dr. Gizem Doğanel Aksoy, the event highlighted the contributions to the professional development of students training with Sabit Akkaya's team, who were invited to the stage for a demonstration.
At the end of the program, BARÜ Rector Prof. Dr. Ahmet Akkaya and the Director of the Health Services Vocational School Prof. Dr. [Name of Director] were present. Özge Özgür presented Sabit Akkaya with thank-you souvenirs and documents. Additionally, a plaque of appreciation was issued by the Hair Care and Beauty Services Department faculty members Dr. Ömür Uçar, Dr. Gizem Doğanel Aksoy, and Ruşen Akman.
The program concluded with a question-and-answer session, followed by a magnified, hands-on hair demonstration on selected models. Students had the opportunity to reinforce their theoretical knowledge by reviewing the techniques used during the hair demonstration.
